Delivery Conditions

The tubes shall be manufactured from hot-finished seamless tubes by cold drawing or other suitable processes. The tubes shall be supplied in one of the delivery conditions as follows.

Cold-drawn/hard +C No heat treatment after the final cold drawing process
Cold-drawn/soft +LC After the final heat treatment, there is a suitable drawing pass
Cold drawn and stress relieved +SR After the final cold drawing process, there is a stress relief heat treatment in a controlled atmosphere
Annealed +A After the final cold drawing process, the tubes are annealed in a controlled atmosphere
Normalized +N After the final cold drawing operation, the tubes are normalized in a controlled atmosphere

1. By Standard & Application Category:

  • Standard: EN 10305-4 - "Steel tubes for precision applications - Technical delivery conditions - Seamless cold drawn tubes"

  • Application Category: Precision engineering components requiring high dimensional accuracy, excellent surface finish, and superior mechanical properties. Typical uses include hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, automotive shock absorbers, bearing sleeves, and high-precision mechanical parts.

2. By Manufacturing Process:

  • Type: Seamless

  • Process: Cold Drawn. The tube is manufactured from a solid steel billet that is pierced to form a hollow shell, which is then cold-drawn through a die at room temperature. This process ensures:

    • Exceptional dimensional tolerances.

    • A very smooth internal and external surface finish.

    • Enhanced mechanical strength through work hardening.

3. By Material Grade:
